Development Resources

The City of Elkhorn currently offers two financial assistance programs to help foster business development.

Revolving Loan Funds

The City of Elkhorn Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) was created with Wisconsin Community Development Block Grant funds. The Fund currently has in excess of $750,000 available to assist eligible development projects. Low-interest loans made from this Fund are used to help finance commercial revitalization, business start-up or expansion, and industrial development that foster job creation and/or retention within the City of Elkhorn. For program details, contact Jessie Bartmann, City Treasurer, at (262)723-2219.

New Building Improvement Grant Program

Elkhorn Economic Development Alliance (EEDA) and the City of Elkhorn have partnered to offer a grant program for the purpose of promoting exterior building improvements to existing commercial and retail properties in the City of Elkhorn.

The EEDA and the City of Elkhorn believe property owners are a vital component to the success of the redevelopment and economic revitalization efforts in the City of Elkhorn. The Building Improvement Grant Program is a reimbursement grant program implemented to stimulate efforts in improving the structural integrity, longevity and overall physical appearance of commercial and retail businesses in the City of Elkhorn.
